Friday Work Related Haiku

haiku.jpg

Dizzying Turmoil
pulled this way and that with  scores
of obligations.

Think outside the box
while paradigms shift and they
want to touch my base

A new exercise
we'll fishbone old ideas
to look like new ones

Meetings abound while
project deliverables
accumulated.

I have been busy and a lot of what I have been doing is waiting for others to get done and sitting in meetings.

Medical Haiku

haiku.jpg

A subject near to my abdomen:

Contrast dye I.V.
Pants mid thigh in whirling rig
Oh I hate Cat scans.

"Its perfectly safe"
she said through the loud speaker
from her shielded room.

My mind wonders why
a gigantic machine makes
me claustrophobic.

Well in case you haven't guessed I had to go to have a cat scan done this morning. This wasn't as bad as the MRI but I still consider it something to be avoided like the plague. They only needed pictures of my abdomen so I didn't have to squeeze everything through that little hole. Now I have to drink extra fluids to flush the contrast dye out of my system. As if the diuretics alone weren't causing me to rush to the can enough. Yeesh.

Haiku Friday

haiku.jpg

Well you just can't participate in enough memes. I thought I would try my hand at poetry. Oh I've posted original stuff before. So this shouldn't be too painful (for me at least. You may cringe.) I have decided to do politics. Yeah big surprise there.  Carter and Gore have been in the news lately so here are a couple for them.

Jimmy E. Carter
The worst President ever
Please just go away.

Albert Gore Junior
Thank  you for the internet
Climate change is crap

Barack Hussein Obama has described Pennsylvanians and middle Americans as biitter. I got your bitter right here. Oh and here's one for your wife too.

Obama's decree
To God, guns, alien-hate
I cling bitterly

Michelle Obama
You can't be a First Lady
'Till your'e proud lady
